What is Ordinals?

Ordinals is a protocol on the Bitcoin blockchain that allows for the creation of non-fungible tokens (NFTs) by inscribing data directly onto individual satoshis (the smallest unit of Bitcoin). This protocol was developed by Casey Rodarmor and launched in January 2023. The key idea behind Ordinals is to give each satoshi a unique identifier, allowing it to carry data like images, text, or other forms of digital content, thus creating NFTs directly on Bitcoin.

  1. Ordinal Theory:
